Double Fisting

So, Aubrey has this fascination with holding two things at the same time. I have no idea why she does it, or what the deal is. All I know is that she randomly holds two things at the same time and does not let go. NEVER. Not to eat, not to sleep, not to play. And if she absolutely has to let go of one of the things she is holding, she will not put it down; she will put it in her mouth, quickly do what she has to do, and then immediately resume the original position. It's hilarious.

These were supposed to be a gift to our neighbor's son, but Aubrey insisted upon having them. And since we've given them to her, she hasn't put them down. They are favorite toys to hold #1. She falls asleep holding these things all.the.time.

Here she is just this morning holding my paintbrushes.
We have been doing some renovations to the house lately. I was painting yesterday and Aubrey was not allowed to touch the paintbrushes. Well, this morning they were all clean and dry, so I let her play with them. She proceeded to walk around the house holding them and "painting" everything in sight. The floor, the walls, the doors, and yes, even Jasper. Poor guy!
