Carousel Ride

Any time that I can convince Nick to eat something other than mexican food, I like to head out to the Crazy Pita over in the District. It is SO yummy. And since it's at the District, you can go for a walk afterwards which I am a big fan of after you eat. Right across the street though is a carousel and we have never been on the carousel all of these years that it has been there. I have been wanting to take Aubrey for a while now, but we always forget since it's hidden across the street. But, just the other night, we finally remembered.

Aubrey isn't a daredevil like me, so you never know if she's going to go on a ride or not. We were in luck this night because Aubrey wasn't scared of the carousel one bit. They have free carousel rides all summer long so we rode the carousel about 100 times. It was so nice!

Ariana loved it (of course) and enjoyed waving and saying "hi" to everyone.

After we had ridden about 3 times, Aubrey spotted a ZEBRA. Of course, she had to ride the zebra. So I told her that when the ride stops, she has to get off of the elephant she's on and RUN to the zebra and claim it before someone else does.

Aubrey took this task VERY seriously.

She jumped off of her elephant and ran sooooooooo fast to the zebra. I don't think i've EVER seen her move that fast. She was quite pleased with herself when she snatched up the zebra. So here is Aubrey and zebra... riding a zebra.

Can't wait to go back! We're definitely gonna have to hit up the free carousel rides at least one more time. ;)
