And just for fun...
I am posting a picture of us on our honeymoon... Here's the background:
In this picture, we were lucky to even be on our cruise ship at this moment. This picture was taken after we were at Cozumel, Mexico for the day. Nick had decided that he wanted to rent a Jeep. I told him that was fine, but all I wanted to do was a little bit of shopping because Cozumel was our last stop on our honeymoon. This should've been our first compromise in our marriage. Instead, we did what Nick wanted to do. We went off-roading in our Jeep (don't get me wrong, i loved that part... just not what followed). Apparantly the sand in Mexico is some crazy stuff because we COULD.NOT. get our jeep off of the beach. We were STUCK. Tourists came walking by saying things like, "Oh- that sucks." and when they found out we were on our honeymoon they said, "HAHAHAHAHA. GOOD LUCK!!!!" Yeah. Thanks fellow Americans. After driving inch by inch down that stupid beach, Nick got the Jeep stuck on this hill on the beach and we were tipping. The water was super close. Then this man, in a speedo, walks up to us as I am digging our Jeep out of this hill, in my dress, with my husbands flip flop, burning myself on the exhaust pipe, while God decides now is a good time for rain, and this crazy character of a man says to me, "Wow. You're like a human shovel!!" HA.HA. You are the most hilarious person in the entire world. I almost died right there. Then I realized that God was just trying to prepare me for what the rest of my life had. We eventually got our jeep off of that damn beach... and many other hilarious things happened that were just not funny at the moment. And Nick and I RACED back to the boat, fearing that the ship was going to leave us and we would miss the last few days of our cruise. The steering on our Jeep was screwed. Nick was driving straight, yet the steering wheel was turned completely upside down. It was quite the sight and it played tricks on your brain. When we finally made it out of the Cozumel jungle, and got to the car rental place, Nick hands the guys our keys and at the same time, they both saw that the whole front bumper had about a 5 inch thick pile of sand on it. The mexican guy looks at us at says, "Mucho playa?" which means "a lot of beach?" I almost left my dear husband at that moment. Nick said, "Si." and we turned around and we ran. We ran like we were being chased by the FBI. We were OUT.OF.THERE. We were completely convinced that we were going to get a $16,000.00 bill in the mail for a jeep. We made it back onto our boat- thank GOD and we went to dinner and took the following picture. So this is not just a picture of our honeymoon- this picture resembles not only our victory, but our life. Crazy. Fabulous. Not to be duplicated.
And as we sailed away from that place that I will never go to again, we watched the sun set on an amazing day. We looked forward to what God had for us, and vowed to never, ever drive a Jeep in Mexico again.
Happy Anniversary to us. 4 years and counting!

Happy Day to you guys! Congrats and wish you many more to come!
Happy Anniversary! I can see why you don't like Cozumel but it is a bummer because we had a completely different experience and therefore love it. The only reason I can think of as to why our jeeping went so well was that ours was an excursion and it sounded like you guys just rented and explored by yourself. If that is the case maybe try it again only in a tour but maybe not in Cozumel. Sorry that is sucked for you guys. Oh well, stories like those last a life time and you are glad to have them together.
