The first thing that my Dad sets them up with is a bucket of water and some paint brushes. The girls "paint" everything. The concrete, the walls, the fountain, eachother, etc. :)
What amazes me is that Ariana is 1 year old and totally knows the drill. The second we get to their house Ariana runs to the back door and gets the bucket and paint brushes and "goes to town". She is busy, busy, busy for a while, which is nice for me because my Dad pours me a glass of wine and I get to RELAX. Talk about a win-win situation!

The next favorite activity involves the good ol' red wagon. This wagon dates back to MY childhood. My Dad would sit my sister and I in it with some pillows, blankets and books, and take us for a ride around the neighborhood.

My Dad would sit my sister and I in it with some pillows, blankets and books, and take us for a ride around the neighborhood. Nowadays, the red wagon is still hanging in there and is still giving the best rides to two little girls. They just happen to be two different little girls than 25+ years ago. :)
Ariana LOVES riding in the red wagon; so much so that if you stop? The fury of a very ferocious 1 year old breaks loose. Luckily Ariana has the best big sister in town because Aubrey quickly jumps in there and pulls Ariana around in the red wagon. ♥
